ITINERARIES:
DOWN - RIVER PROGRAM: DEPARTING LUANG PRABANG TO VIENTIANE:
Relish the fantastic scenery of the Mekong river on your cruise from Luang Prabang (Laos) to Vientiane.

DAY 1: LUANG PRABANG – KUANG SI (-/-/D)
13:00 o’clock. Arrive and welcome on board the unique river vessel, Mekong Sun in Luang Prabang. The first German-Lao owned river ship on the upper Mekong. Settle into your comfortable cabin and unpack for a four days cruise through the previously inaccessible wonders of the Mekong. Enjoy the spacious decks and lounge on board and attend our Welcome Reception and dinner this evening. A selection of Asian and European food will be provided throughout the cruise. After just a few hours of cruising down the river, we will stop at Ban Muang Khai and continue by bus to visit the famous Kuang Si Waterfall. We will spent about 2 hours swimming and relaxing at the falls before we return to the Mekong Sun for overnight.

DAY 2: KUANG SI – BAN PAK YAN (B/L/D)
Breakfast. This morning you will see the ferry crossing the Mekong at Thadeua connecting Luang Prabang Province with the Sayaboury province. After that, we will visit a local hill tribe village of the Khmu minority group. Enjoy the beautiful view and watch the fisherman along the shore before we stop at a sandbank for the night.

DAY 3: BAN PAK YAN – HAT THIENG (B/L/D)
Breakfast. The village Ban Phaleap offers a magnificent view at the steep rock formation, called Phaleap. In the afternoon we will have a short visit at the small riverside community of Pak Lai. It used to be famous for its many colonial style houses.
At night you will enjoy again the comfort of your cruise ship. We overnight close to the border between Thailand and Laos opposite Hat Thieng. This last evening on board will be celebrated with a farewell dinner.

DAY 4: HAT THIENG – VIENTIANE (B/L/-)
Breakfast. Today, we will cruise between Thailand on the right- and Laos on the left side. The landscape becomes more and more spectacular with hills covered with tropical vegetation, impressive rock formations along the river banks and rapid and slow currents on the river. We are also passing the NBCA (National Biodiversity Conservation Area) Phou Phanang. This evening, we will disembark from the Mekong Sun cruise ship.
End of service.

NOTE: Small deviations in the tour program are sometimes necessary, depending on weather, road and/or river conditions, and room availability. For safety reasons and according to navigation conditions, these programs may be amended without previous notice.

Cruise includes :

• Accommodation in twin shared rooms with private bathroom.
• Full board (Starting from dinner on the first day and ending with breakfast on the last day). The breakfast will be served as buffet and the lunch and dinner will be served a la carte.
