LIVITRANS
EXPRESS TRAIN
Livitrans Express train, which is
supposed to be a luxurious train linking Hanoi to Lao Cai, will
start its operation in September 2007.
The train will
feature sleeping carriage with 2 berths, 4 berths and 6 berths,
a bar, toilets, LCD television sets on board, etc... Passengers
will be served complimentary drinks, confections and newspapers.
The schedule announced for September 2007 forecasts daily
departure from Hanoi to Lao Cai at 23h05 with arrival at 8h00
and return on the same day at 12h30 with an arrival at 21h15.
It seems they already
intend to change the schedule from October as follows: departure
from Hanoi to Lao Cai at 20h40 with arrival at 5h05 and return
on the same day at 19h30 with an arrival at 03h45. In this case,
it would mean that Livitrans Express will not be operating
everyday.
