The Pu Luong Nature Reserve
is an area of outstanding beauty, cultural interest and
biodiversity. Stretching from Mai Chau in the North West
to Cuc Phuong National Park in the south east. The region
is blessed with rich forest, limestone panoramas,
magnificent rice terraces and breathtaking scenery. On
this trip you can experience the everyday life and culture
of Thai and Muong people and stay in scenic villages with
traditional homestay accommodation.

Trekking and cultural experience
Day 1: Hanoi – Pu Luong (Hang village) ( L,D)
After breakfast we depart for Pu Luong Natural Reserve.
This scenic drive takes around four hours. Along the way
we pass fields of tapioca and sugar cane as well as rice
paddies. Following lunch in Ban Sai village we drive
further into the reserve where we begin our trek. We trek
for approximately three hours before arriving at the Thai
village of Hang. We spend the night with a local Thai
family who will be our hosts in a traditional house built
on stilts. Whilst enjoying their hospitality we will
discover a little more about their lives and culture.
Day 2: Pu Luong (Hang
village - Sai village) (B,L,D)
This morning we have the opportunity to stroll around Hang
village before we start trekking. Today we will be walking
for approximately five hours. Along the way we pass
through several Thai villages and hamlets before arriving
at the village of Sai, another Thai commune. Here we will
spend our second night in a typical Thai stilt house.
Day 3: Pu Luong - Hanoi (B,L)
This morning we have the opportunity to stroll around Sai
village before we return to Hanoi. On the way back we will
stop at a Muong village, before continuing onto Hoa Binh
town for lunch. Before arriving in Hanoi we also make a
stop at the Ho Chi Minh Museum.
