This trip to the North West highlands of Mai Chau offers a combination of cultural sightseeing and physical activity set amongst some of northern Vietnam’s most stunning scenery. We spend the night within walking distance of Mai Chau and overnight in a White Thai village where we enjoy local home cooked food and genuine village hospitality.

Trekking and cultural experience

Day 1: Hanoi – Maichau (L,D)
Depart Hanoi and head west towards Hoa Binh province. Following lunch in Mai Chau town we spend the afternoon walking through the various ethnic minority villages in this area. Tonight a minority family from Lac or Pong Coong village will be our hosts. Whilst enjoying their hospitality, we will discover a little more about their lives and culture.

Day 2: Maichau - Hanoi (B,L)
This morning we have the opportunity to stroll around the village before we return to Hanoi. On the way back we stop at a Muong village, before continuing onto Hoa Binh town for lunch. From Hoa Binh it is a 2-hour drive back to Hanoi. We arrive in Hanoi around 16.00
